Coworking Madrid 2026 ranking after visiting 12 spots
i am curious why you put cloudworks so high on the list. i went there once and the coffee was basically mud. the layout felt a bit cramped for the price they charge. did you actually try the back rooms or just the common area?
wework castellana is such a hike if you arent living in chamberi or salamanca. i tried doing the commute from la latina and it killed my productivity. did you find the desks there were actually available? last time i went they were overselling the hot desks and people were basically working in the kitchen area. 320 euros is insane for a kitchen chair.
thanks for this list. i wasted so much time at places with terrible ac last summer in malaga. did you find any spots in madrid that actually keep the temp below 22 degrees or is it all the typical spanish lukewarm setting? i am visiting next march and don't want to repeat my mistake.
honestly most are pretty bad about ac because of the energy costs. impact hub is usually decent but even then they get cheap some days. bring a portable fan if you go in the summer.
glad you mentioned the ergonomic chairs at castellana. as someone with chronic back pain it is actually worth the extra 70 euros. people underestimate how much a bad chair ruins your week. did you find the community events at barcelo were mostly in english or spanish? i am still struggling with my level and dont want to be the person forcing everyone to switch.
impact hub barcelo is great but did you check out the malasaña location? i think the vibe there is way more local. barcelo feels a bit too much like a startup factory sometimes. glad you found a spot though because madrid prices have definitely creeped up since i moved here in 2024. i remember when 250 was the upper limit for a fixed desk.
the malasaña one is cool but the phone booths are always full. that is the one thing barcelo has over it. i need literal hours of calls a day and i cant do that in the common areas.
did any of these twelve spots have decent monitor rentals available. i am coming for a month in 2026 and i really do not want to lug my second screen through barajas if i can avoid it. most places i ask just look at me like i have two heads.
spaces rio is definitely the best for the view but it feels so isolated. if you want to grab a quick menu del dia there are way fewer options compared to the barcelo area. also that hill back up from the river in the summer is no joke. curious if you checked out any spots in tetuan? a few new ones opened late last year that are supposed to be budget friendly.
this matches my experience with the big chains versus the smaller boutiques. its crazy how much the sub defaults are just people who are sponsored or haven't lived there in five years. that one spot near atocha you mentioned is definitely a hidden gem for calls.
exactly. the sub wiki is ancient. most of those spots shut down or changed management during the dnv rollout. glad the atocha spot worked for you too.
i actually liked lab madrid precisely because it felt like an internet cafe. i dont want the networking or the forced community events. i just want to sit in a corner and be left alone for eight hours. but i agree the chairs are a disaster. i ended up buying a lumbar pillow at ikea just to survive my month there. 250 for impact hub is a bit steep for my budget right now.
if you want to be left alone just go to a public library. some of them in madrid are stunning and free. you just need to get there early to snag a spot with a plug.
your note about the internet stability in the chamberi location is a lifesaver. i do a lot of heavy uploads for my dev job and i need something more reliable than a home dsl line. did you notice any lag during peak hours there?
250 euros for a month pass as a dnv holder seems about right for 2026. i am based in valencia and pay about the same. is the 24/7 access at impact hub easy to set up? some places say they have it but then you need a special physical key card that takes a week to process. i do a lot of west coast us hours so i am usually working until 2 am.
im honestly surprised lab madrid is still around. i went there right after the dnv started and it was a wreck back then too. it is crazy how they havent updated the furniture at 180 euros a month. madrid has so many better boutique spots now. did you check out any of the smaller neighborhood ones in arganzuela? they are usually way cheaper and the coffee is actually decent.
the boutique ones are hit or miss with the internet though. i stayed at one near delicias and it dropped out every time someone used the microwave. spaces rio is much safer for heavy lifting work.
great timing on this. i am moving there from malaga in january and was worried about the coworking scene being too corporate or expensive compared to the coast. the price breakdown you gave for the monthly pass is super helpful for my budget. thanks for the effort.
i stayed in malaga for a year before moving to madrid and the coworking scene here is just so much more corporate. i miss the smaller beachy vibes. wework castellana 77 is basically just a bank office with free beer. it is fine if you need to impress a client but it lacks soul. did you look at any spots in chueca? there are some hidden gems there that are much cheaper than 320.
